As missionaries who normally serve in various roles in Papua New Guinea (PNG) leave for home assignment, there aren’t enough people to fill the ministry holes left behind. Pray for missionaries to meet temporary and long-term needs in PNG. Praise God for sending Canadians Matt and Joan Gunther — who currently serve at Ethnos Canada’s training centre — to PNG this fall. They will fill in at the guesthouse.* Matt will also be using his extensive experience from the training center to teach Bible at Numonohi Christian Academy, the MK school in PNG. Pray for Matt and Joan as they “work through the paperwork and logistics of going.” And pray for their co-workers in Canada as the Gunthers “will be leaving a gap here while we are away.”
*Praise God for answering our prayers. Reminder here.
You can use your skills to serve in support roles in Papua New Guinea. Skilled associates typically serve for one to four years, and many go on to become career missionaries.
