Pray that the recipients will remember how to use and care for the radios and that they will tune into the teaching as it is broadcasted. There are many more villages who do not have access to the radio program or to God’s Word. Pray that God will provide the funds needed to purchase 1,000 more radios.
Pray for wisdom, courage, perseverance and protection. Pray that the Holy Spirit would help the missionaries and Tepehuan believers to be intentional in their daily lives to become more like Jesus.
Pray that this momentum will continue through to the end of the translation project. Pray that God would sustain the translation team as they faithfully plug away at translation. Pray for the Akolet church to delight in God’s Word and to thrive as they grow in Christ’s likeness.
“The Bible teachers have been going through the Creation to Christ teaching with the students that are in the local school, and after the gospel presentation, 61 elementary students gave a profession of faith in Jesus. Some of these kids are from our village, but many are from other villages where the gospel has not been welcome. Praise the Lord!” Pray that this will open the door to other villages. Pray for missionaries to go to these other villages. Pray for these elementary students to have opportunities to grow in the Word and in their walk with the Lord.
Many moons ago, a nervous me landed in our bush village between the Mengen valleys and mountains. It was only for a short visit to meet our future co-workers and meet the Mengen friends among whom we would live for the next roughly 20 years of our lives.
