While the Kuyu people are spread out in several different villages, they came together in one location, and representatives from each village said “yes!” they want the missionaries to come.”

Please pray for the Chappell family during this uncertain time and for wisdom and guidance in the days and weeks to come. I would also appreciate your prayers as I help with homeschooling, that I would be able to be a help and a blessing to their kids.

“Pray that their faith continues to put down deep roots and that they would continue to practice obedience in the truths they are learning.”

“Currently … there are 13 men, young and old, that have shown an interest in being discipled and trained by the first-generation Bible teachers. Please pray for God to protect, raise up, and equip these men for the work of ministry.”

“I am continuing to make and revise lessons. Both of us are continuing to work on translation. We are hoping we will have another translation check in August. Please do continue to pray that we will be able to finish what we have to do here.”

“We were challenged by Paul and Bella's example of endurance in serving there in a very hot environment, not to mention the intense 10-hour drive to this village.”

“Pray for perseverance and encouragement on the difficult days. Pray that we would be able to make strong relationships here.”

“Pray for safety as evangelists travel back and forth among these remote locations. Pray for open hearts for those who may be hearing clearly about who God is and the gospel for the first time.”

Pray for the completion of the revision of the Scriptures as well as for growth in the church.

You can be involved in helping new believers stand confidently upon God’s Word by writing or illustrating books that can be easily translated into the many heart languages of Papua New Guinea.

Pray for the people that live here and the surrounding communities. They live in fear and darkness and need the hope that comes from the gospel. Pray for us to continue to adjust well to this new culture and that the Lord would make it clear where he would have us move for our ministry.

“We know it will be a very powerful tool for the ministers and that it will help illuminate darkened hearts and minds. I know that because that’s what the Holy Spirit does when people hear God’s Word.”

Please pray for God to gather 10 leaders to be discipled through Establish beginning in September.

Pray that the Awa people will understand the Word, believe the truth and begin to grow.

“Be praying for this outreach. These folks being taught are coming out of other churches who were not teaching the gospel, so there is a potential for tensions.”

“Pray for our Bible-teachers-in-training and other core, faithful families to grow and trust the Lord through life and for the children who are old enough now to [understand] the Creation to Christ teaching, that they will not just hear but believe.”

“I have always known that flying and praying go well together… and I appreciate your being part of that ministry with me.”

Pray for the Ka’apor believers involved in evangelism.
